A circular walk led by architect and local historian Alan Piper. Firmly established as a shopping destination by the start of the 20th century, Brixton has seen many changes and is now better known as a cosmopolitan entertainment focus. Yet each phase of change has left its mark, from Edwardian mansion flats via 1970s Brutalism to Zaha Hadid and creative re-use.
We would love to share our inside knowledge with architecture enthusiasts from across London, not just the home team, but please reserve places in advance. Free but donations welcome (via http://www.brixtonsociety.org.uk).
