A Midsummer Night’s Dream: with Troubadour Stageworks

03 July - 31 July

17:30 -19:30

Hosted at Street Assemblies: Public Assembly, one of the four installations by Urban Radicals for LFA2024, four young lovers, five amateur players and a warring fairy host descend on the same forest in one evening. What could possibly go wrong!? As the lines between reality and illusion begin to blur, no-one but the mischievous Puck knows what is true and what is magic...

Troubadour’s take on Shakespeare’s classic comedy will transport you from the Fleet Street Quarter to a magical midsummer dream. It is a production both epic and intimate, designed to be enjoyed by all the family. It is packed with original songs and plenty of wonder.

Did you know?
Midsummer is traditionally the night when the barrier between the fae and mortal world is most weak. In our production we lean into that otherworldly merger- in amongst the play of sprites, the magic, the music, the forest setting, what might happen when you become the plaything of immortals?

The three performances will happened on the 3rd July, 9th July and 31st July - all at 17:30 - 19:30.

'My heartfelt congratulations to you all' - Hugh Bonneville
'Great production' - Dan Snow
