Base Notes & Place Holders

01 June - 23 June

12:00 -18:00

This group exhibition asks us to rethink a space where sculpture and architecture coalesce, and suggests different ways to question the hierarchies of forms, while reimagining the traditional distinctions between elevation and support, subject and object and spectator and participant.

Base Notes and Place Holders brings together new commissions and unseen works by artists from the UK, Europe and the US: Renata Cassiano Alvarez, Del Hardin Hoyle, Antonia Low, TC McCormack, Kirsty Russell, Amba Sayal-Bennett, Ivan Seal, Heidi Sill and Tommy Støckel.
In Euca Annex’s distinctive new space, visitors are invited to enter a hybrid sculptural-structure, which plays host to both archival material and a collection of artworks, including sculpture, painting, collage, print and drawing.

This free exhibition is for the curious audience interested in the field between art, architecture and design, while providing a platform for deeper conversations and learning.
