Discovering Cultural Infrastructure: A Walking Tour through Hackney Wick

14 June 2024

16:00 -18:00

Join We Made That for a walking tour of Hackney Wick and Fish Island, exploring its diverse cultural infrastructure and discovering why these spaces are so vital to London's social life and economy.

We will be visiting artist's workspaces, music venues and exhibition spaces to better understand the challenges and opportunities faced by the cultural and creative industries in London and beyond. As we explore these spaces and engage in discussions, we'll discover the relationship between culture and climate, social value and local economies and reflect on how we can collectively advocate for and preserve these vital spaces for future generations.

The starting point of the walk will be outside Hackney Wick Overground Station (E9 5TS). Walking activities will be in a group and approximately 2km round trip. Please note that the majority of the walk will take place outdoors.
