At this year's London Festival of Architecture (LFA24), we will delve into both the challenges and possibilities presented by shifting to a circular economy, where the end of one life cycle marks the beginning of another.
Join us for a very special Studio Late led by local textile artist Isabel Fletcher. Renowned for her innovative use of waste materials, the workshop will focus on upcycling and guide you through the creation of bespoke mini ‘wall hanging’. During the class you will learn how to stitch and manipulate fabric to craft a decorative piece of art.
The workshop will use reclaimed materials generously provided by Kvadrat, a contemporary and socially responsible textile manufacturer.
A platform for change where creativity meets sustainability, the class will explore the waste hierarchy and why recycling should be the last resort.
Tickets for the evening cost £5, will all proceeds donated to tp bennett’s community partner- Change Please, who support people experiencing homelessness. https://changeplease.org/
We understand the impact of the cost of living crisis, and are offering complimentary places as required. Please contact the event host to arrange.
