Empowering Communities: Role of AI in Inclusive Engagement

13 June 2024

18:30 -20:00

One of the main challenges in the planning process is having truly inclusive community engagement.

This panel discussion will consider how the use of AI may be the key for professionals and local and national decision makers to achieve best practice engagement . The panel will explore how AI tools can be used to reimagine, shape and conduct engagement programmes better.

The expert panel of built environment professionals from the private, public and third sectors will share examples of best practice and then discuss the challenges, importance and benefits of the use of AI in community engagement.

The event will be chaired by Oliver Deed, a social value, placemaking and community engagement specialist and Managing Director at ECF. The panelists include:

1. Stefan Webb – Senior Partner, Place and Infrastructure at TPXimpact
2. Tiernen Mines – CEO and Co-founder at Hello Lamp Post
3. Kathy Jones – Executive Chair, ECF
4. Bridget Wilkins - Head of Adoption, Engagement and Innovation at the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (TBC)
