Join us at 100 Bishopsgate to experience Jodie Carey’s captivating sculptures, showcased as part of the "Beyond the Matrix" exhibition, curated by AWITA and celebrating female artists!
Carey's monumental installations, including works from the series 'Stand' and 'Found', have been reimagined to resonate with the architectural features of 100 Bishopsgate. Using from salvaged wood, plaster, and fabric, Carey's sculptures embody a fusion of industrial and abstract elements, inviting contemplation on themes of time, labour, and materiality.
The exhibition is accessible to all, this exhibition offers a unique opportunity to engage with Carey's thought-provoking artworks and support the representation of women in the arts. This innovative placement within shared-use workspaces allows city workers and the wider community to enjoy and engage with art in unexpected settings. As Brookfield Properties celebrates the office space as alternative galleries, visitors are encouraged to take a moment for reflection, reminding them of the significance of pausing amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life.
