Join Carmody Groarke for a half-day model-making workshop at their London studio. Embracing this year's festival theme, the workshop will challenge participants to reimagine the future of archive buildings for museums and libraries.
Using Carmody Groarke's proposal for the British Library, Boston Spa archive as a starting point, the workshop will ask participants to design and craft their own paper models that envision an alternative shape, form or function of the existing proposal.
Attendees will learn more about the approach to making architectural models and the different ways that models can inform design decisions.
This workshop is designed for 16–18-year-olds looking to study architecture or begin a career in the industry.
There will be time following the session for attendees to meet the architecture team and ask any questions about their work and experience in practice.
