National Portrait Gallery architecture tours

01 June - 30 June

15:00 -15:45

Discover the architecture of the National portrait Gallery, originally designed in 1896 by Ewan Christian and now transformed by Jamie Fobert Architects, whose sensitive redevelopment was revealed last June after a three year closure.

Our expert gallery guide will lead you through a tour of the spaces, pointing out the major changes and designed details, highlighting windows, doors and areas that had been hidden for decades. The tour will start at 15:00 and will last approximately 45 minutes.

Admission is free and donations are welcome. Spaces are limited so please turn up early to avoid disappointment.
