This animated walking tour with actors will explore the Grahame Park estate in Colindale, located on the site of the Hendon Aerodrome and named after pioneering aviator, Claude Grahame-White.
Grahame Park was built in the early 1970s in the “Brick Brutalist” style, featuring brick terraced houses and low-rise flats.
The estate has been through various phases of regeneration over the years. This guided walk will feature local residents' memories of the area.
This tour which is a reprise of last year’s successful tour is organised by Colindale Communities Trust in partnership with the Museum of Domestic Design & Architecture, the Past, Present and Future project with NHG and Dr Magali Peyrefitte.
This year the tour will finish with an exhibition created by local people on the buildings and people of Grahame Park
