Join us for the opening of this transformational intervention on Warren Street.
Rabbit Warren Street, created by Able Partners with Elliott Wood, is a fun and bold solution which will improve the pedestrian area outside the station and encourage passers-by to ‘dive into’ the less polluted streets of Fitzrovia through eye-catching wayfinding.
From 12pm, Warren Street will come to life with colourful murals, live music and outstanding food from the neighbouring independent businesses. You’re invited to participate this vibrant reimagining of Fitzrovia which will remain in place until the end of June, following street closure on the 6 and 7 June.
The launch day on 6 June includes on-street activity from 12pm – 8pm:
* 12pm – 2pm live music
* 12.30pm – Speeches
* 4.30pm – 6.30pm live music
* Throughout the day there will be food sampling, wine tasting, unique food and retail offers
This ‘reimagining’ of Warren Street is the result of a competition run by The Fitzrovia Partnership with LFA earlier this year for a scheme improving the public realm around Warren Street which characterises the district and promotes less polluted pathways. The competition forms the first part of a four-year partnership between The Fitzrovia Partnership and the London Festival of Architecture, which will focus on improving gateways into Fitzrovia and testing and implementing successful public realm schemes to improve navigation and the overall experience around the area.
