Re-Imagining Colindale from Its Role In Early Aviation to the New Suburbia

02 June 2024

13:00 -15:00

Did you know Hendon (now Colindale) was once synonymous with flying?

Colindale once was home to early aircraft factories, the precursor to the UK Health Security Agency, and the 207-acre site of the London Aerodrome which is now the RAF Museum. Today most of the area is covered with the homes of thousands as multiple residential complexes been built in recent years.

Join Eclectic Tours and Colindale resident Lisa Lu on a walking tour that travels back a little over 100 years in a little over 1 mile as she explores Colindale’s forgotten and varied history and contemplates its future as an emerging suburb.
