The Tingle Factor: Exploring Human Emotional Response To Design

27 June 2024

17:30 -20:30

For many years wellbeing lenses have been applied to create architecture that is more sustainably designed, built and operated. Metrics for optimal air, water and light quality have been determined. However, there is considerably less analysis into what it is about a design that creates the ‘tingle factor’ and elicits an overwhelmingly positive emotional response in the users of a space. Chetwoods, in collaboration with researchers from the University of Cambridge, has been exploring this concept through in-depth research.

Join us on Thursday 27th June for an interactive event where you can explore and trial the technology we are currently utilising to conduct this research. Meet the architectural team and academics who are testing the processes and discuss your thoughts how our industry needs to investigate emotional response to design. Also, view our accompanying exhibition that narrates our journey of discovery on this topic so far.
